A simple budget spreadsheet made for couples. You both log money in one Transactions tab. The Dashboard shows your household month, what each of you earned and spent, and one plain line that says who owes whom, like "Sam owes Alex 105.22". No more keeping score in your head.

Light and dark versions are both included.

HOW THE FAIR SPLIT WORKS

• Pick your split once: equal (50/50), by income (from the monthly income each of you enters in Setup), or your own %.
• Say whose each account is: yours, your partner's, or joint.
• Log a cost. Leave "For" empty if it is shared, or pick a name if it was just for one of you.
• The sheet works out what each of you should pay, what each of you paid, and who owes whom. Joint account payments count for both of you, in your split. Top-ups of the joint account count too.
• Settled up? Log the payment as a transfer. The running total goes back to "All square".

Bills tick themselves off: use the bill's name as the payee and the Dashboard shows Paid ✔. Nothing is locked. No macros.

HOW IT WORKS

1. After checkout, click the download button on your order confirmation page. The same download link is also in your order confirmation email.
2. Open the guide. Make your Google Sheets copy with the link inside, or open the blank .xlsx in Excel.
3. Setup takes about 10 minutes: your names, your split, accounts and bills.
4. Log each money move in about 30 seconds. Check the Dashboard once a week.

COMPATIBILITY

• Google Sheets: use the "Make a copy" links in the guide (a free Google account is needed). Share your copy with your partner to use it together.
• Excel 2016 or newer on Windows (tested in Excel 2021)
• On a Mac? Use the Google Sheets copy
• Set it up on a computer. On a phone or tablet, open your copy in the free Google Sheets app to add entries and check it on the go. Phone web browsers show a read-only view. Not for Apple Numbers.

• Digital download. No physical item will be shipped.
• For personal use only. You may gift one copy to one person. Please don't share, resell or redistribute the files or the Google Sheets links beyond that.
• English only. Any currency symbol. Start any month.
• This is a budgeting tool, not financial advice. Its totals are only as accurate as what you type.
• The dark version prints with a lot of ink. Use the light version to print.
